<p>I noticed when I got grim sorcerer II my pet got an extra skill, super freakin sweet! So Im wondering how many skills do the higher level pets have? I got my nightshade at 32 and was really dissapointed <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> a scout with 4 skills? I was hoping he'd help me dps in faster paced groups, but im pretty sure my sorcerer still outdoes him, especialy since he misses a ton, even with 5 pts in scout pet in necro tree O_o.</p><p>Also with howl of the damned my scouts attack speed says 1.6, he doesnt attack that fast O_o Tell me it gets better!</p>

<p>Sadly the scout pet is mostly useless.</p><p>That said, short of AAs, your pets stop gaining skills in their 60s (60 for Nightshade, 62 for Grim Sorcerer, 67 for Undead Knight).</p><p>You can add more skills with TSO Summoner and Necromancer endlines, and you can greatly improve your pets with Pet Weapon Mastery in the TSO Summoner line.</p>

<p>the scout pets useless? <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" /> everyone tells me he's the best single target dps pet, and when im fighting mobs that are my level or lower, he's amazing. but even ONE level and he cant hit crap. I dunno why the +15% to hit doesnt help him out. And 60's doesnt sound bad at all, if he gets at least 6 or 7 skills I can see him being way better, they're pretty quick cooldowns. I havnt looked at TSO trees yet, but I will start <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" /> I cant figure out how i wanna spec my necro, I want the ooze crawler, but I want tainted heals lol, and I neeeed lifeburn for pvp.</p><p>edit* okay, i see the weapons mastery, thats pretty awesome, 20% dmg on scout pet O_O. But I dont see extra skills? unless its the end line necro abilty that gives him a lifetap?</p>

<p>1. ooze pet is complete garbage, it's designer needs to be curb stomped</p><p>2. the new pet abilities that Xal was talkin' about are minion's mark and wrath of the undead servant, these were cheap ways to avoid giving our pets the abilities that were supposed to come as they increase in level and steal 2 aa ability slots from us...gg sony</p><p>3. the scout pet is useless on raids due to ae's and the mythical pet blows it out of the water, the nerf in DoF to its auto attack dmg really hit it hard</p><p>3. weapon mastery and critical strike were also cheap ways of avoiding the boost our pets needed, one day they'll accept the fact that shared stats are the only way to balance the summoner classes...most likely it'll be when people stop paying for their screw ups</p>

<p>Another quick question, howl of the damned, does this affect pet cast speed or just melee speed? Cause it seems to benefit the scout way more than the mage.</p>
