<p>This quest has been bugged since the first time that it was introduced to the game.  Every year the pots lag, bug and people have issues with them.  I've been sitting here in the instance for the last hour now, trying to remember all of the little tips and tricks from the years past.  Backing up and starting over, waiting until it says start to begin banging on the pots when I do finally manage to get it to start...</p><p>I can't be the only one having awful luck with this.  <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>I was just about to post this is bugged.</p><p>I stand here and it plays, I get it right, it says I stop, I try starting again by moving around, it tells me I stop playing, it starts another time albeit partially with two notes, which I play and it tells me I failed.</p>

<p>If I remember correctly, I would stand comepletely still and hit any old Pots...  After a while, he realizes that you are hopeless and gives you what you need....</p><p>I could be wrong though...lol</p>

<p>I don't get this at all. First, the position you need to be in to trigger the event seems really sketchy. When I am able to trigger it, and the round starts, I get the interactive hand icon when I mouse over a pot. If I click the pot - the correct one, there's not that many in the pattern - it begins a cast bar, like I'm casting a spell; the bar reads "Hit the pot" or something similar. I've tried letting the bar finish, and it fails. I've tried hitting all the pots in the correct order very quickly - before the bar finishes - and it still fails. Then I just stand there waiting and nothing happens. I've waited 10 minutes and no second event appeared. However, if I back away and return, sometimes the event will trigger again. If I <em>tab out</em> and open my browser (to find info on the quest) the event immediately triggers. Lag? I dunno. I've also tried the F key tip, as well as directly clicking the pots. Same results.</p><p>[EDIT]</p><p>Turns out to be a lag issue. In the end, after managing to trigger it a few more times, failing each time, the goblin tells me I'm terrible and the quest stage updates.</p><p>I guess I get it now, but the trigger seemed broken enough that it was by no means obvious that I was on the right track. I'd consider fine-tuning this quest a bit more.</p>

<p>I skipped that quest last year for the same reason.  Looks like I'll be skipping it again.  /sigh</p>

<p>Like was posted above, just stick it out, they gave it a workaround... if you mess it up several times in a row eventually it updates and the goblin tells you to stop because you are even worse than he is! So just go, bang on whatever you want when you want, and don't worry about it so much, it's still completable.</p>

<p>I can't even get to the work around... it stops recognizing that i'm in front of it, and just keeps spamming "You stop playing the pots".</p><p>The thing does seem excruciatingly buggy.</p>

If you get 'stopped' just back away from the pots and then move back up. I personally stand up on the table and look down from the ceiling. I take my name off so that I cant see it and its not in the way of the pots. On test this year, I had no trouble at all. I went thru it with 4 chars and got it all right every time. I just use paper and pencil and write down B,R, G, or Y. Then bang the pots 1 at a time, dont move to next one till the spell line is done. On live.. whole other story. I know how to do this to get it all right.. and not once did I get it right on live. Even though I did it all right, it still said I failed. Oh well <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> At least the way they have it now, you still can finish and get your key!!
