Launcher/patcher locking up

<p>My apologies if this is in the wrong place.</p><p>As of yesterday evening the station launcher locks up my entire computer after running for five minutes or so. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, ran malware scans, etc.</p><p>If I launch the EQ2 executable I can run the game, but as I need to patch it for GU54 the thing locks up my entire computer, requiring a restart. It behaves almost as if it's instantly using all of my RAM or CPU as it lags and then will freeze up entirely.</p><p>Other games I can run fine... Just having a problem with this.</p><p>Phenom II 940</p><p>Nvidia 285</p><p>4gigs ram (3.2 or so under my current OS)</p><p>Windows XP Professional 32bit</p>

<p>Greetings,</p><p>What version of the Nvidia drivers are you using on that computer?  We currently advise using the 186 drivers and I would advise reverting to them if you are not using them already.  They can be downloaded here:</p><p><a href="http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find...aspx?lang=en-us</a></p><p>That said, a complete computer freeze probably indicates other problems as well.  I would also advise uninstalling and resintalling the launcher if the problem persists.  You can get the latest version through the following link:</p><p><a href="http://launcher.station.sony.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://launcher.station.sony.com/</a></p><p>If the problem persists at that point then please post your dxdiag file up through the sound devices section so we'll have more info to work with.</p>
