I have heard about the AA mirror's that allow you to switch back and forth between 2 AA sets but can't seem to find much other info on them. Could someone please explain the following:

How do you get a mirror? Quested, crafted, etc?

Once you have it, how do you actually use it in terms of setting your 2 different specs and switching between them?

Any other useful suggestions.

Any and all info is appreciated- thanks!

AA mirror is crafted, i just do not know by who. it is a house item so you need to place it in your house to use it, i assume it would be something like right clicking and then selecting whatever will allow you to save/swap setups. best answer i can give as i've never used one before.

Here's a crash course on the mirrors.

Item: Mirror of Reflected Achievements (commission crafted item)

Crafted by: Any crafter who has a high enough crafter level and crafter society faction to buy / use the recipe.

Crafting Rare Required: Smoldering Reflective Shard (On LDL, they're running about 3-4p these days.)

How does it work?: By clicking on this mounted house item, the mirror basically stores a photocopy of your current AA build. During the saving process, you assign a file name for it. After saving your existing set up for the 1st time, go to an Achievement (AA) Counselor to reset your AA build (as desired). Once you've got a new build that you like, go back to the mirror and click on it again. The mirror will then save your 2nd build and your 1st build will now be loaded onto your character. From this point on, you can click on the mirror to switch back and forth between these two builds.

FYI: The mirror only saves x1 AA build in it. Also SOE fixed it so that you can only get use out of a single AA mirror at a time. (In the past, people could once have multiple mirrors. But this loophole no longer exists.)

Thanks for the replies!

I wasn't aware it was a house item but I guess that makes sense as I'm sure they don't want you just swapping back and forth constantly.

How do most Inquisitor's use it at the high level? Is it a solo vs group AA build, or a raid vs non-raid build?

How do you break down your builds? Well that's a very subjective question. However I'll try to answer this as best as I can.

Example: On my brigand main, my AA break down is easy. One is a min / max soloing build that is designed to use the Feign Death ability from their Int line. The other is a heroic / raid build that has intentionally sacrificed the feign and a little burst dps for better debuffs and increased survivability.

But while a dps class can have a clear break down, healers are in a most difficult situation. In the end, my Inquisitor will have x2 different builds. While both will use Str and much of Sta, the 3rd line varies between the builds. My dps spec uses the Agi line and will eventually become a full Shield Ally spec. Then my party role focused spec uses the Int line.

In the short term, there will be a lot of difference between these specs. When you are dealing with a limited amount of AA, you have to be very picking. But once you start to get around 140-190 AA, you'll start to notice that a lot of your dual specs will probably look the same. It was like that on my brigand. While my builds focused on different directions initially, they eventually started to look remarkably similar in many respects when I had already covered the AA abilities that I had initially considered vital.

As a general default, I'll usually take the Int spec for when I'm doing a heroic or raid instance. Though if we're going to already have more than enough healing or the tank is under geared, then I'll take the Shield Ally spec instead. With the 3-piece T3 hybrid armor set bonus being +25% shield effectiveness, we can use shields like the Wispy Wall of Air (from WoE) to grant a nice bonus through Shield Ally.

here is the wikia page on the mirror that should get you the info you need.

http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Mirror_of...ed_Achievements

my setup is simple as I am a guardian I have the same setup no matter if I am solo, group, or raid. So I made my aa mirror one line for tanking one line for harvesting/crafting using increased speed and bountiful harvest and increased success from the shadow lines.

Any Artisan lvl 75 or higher with 40,000 faction to their crafting society can get this recipie.

When I was leveling I used the AA mirror to differentiate between solo/grouping. As you get higher in levels, and more importantly more AA points, the two specs really converge.

So basically right now my mirror has a spec with Shield Ally and a few tweaks in the TSO line such as the shield effectiveness bonus for when I'm in OT group in raids (or MT in x2 raids), and then the rest of the time I have a spec with Steadfast instead, and a few more DPS type things in the TSO line instead of shield bonus.
