There is a mistake in the templar Shadow AA line buffs. Both Peaceful Aggression and Focused Prayers have effects that are contrary to the spell's description.Peaceful Agression is described as the templar "will have longer casting times on heals and also reduced heal effectiveness." Although that is the spell's description, the spell effects lists "increases casting speed of beneficial spells by 30%" as one of the effects. This completely contradicts the aforementioned line of the spell description.Focused Prayers has a similar issue. The description says that "hostile spells will take longer to cast and damage based spells will have reduced effectiveness," but one of the effects listed is "increases casting speed of hostile spells by 20%." Once again, a contradiction.

Items that make it quicker to cast a spell read as : "Reduces cast time of beneficial spells by 5%"In your Offensive Stance (Peaceful Aggression), the casting time of your beneficial spells will take longer. If "reduced" makes it quicker to cast, "increased" makes it slower to cast, so I do not see a problem. In your Healing Stance (Focused Prayers), Hostile Spells will take longer to cast. Once again, if usage of "reduced" makes a spell quicker to cast, usage of "increased" makes it slower. Once again, it looks fine to me.I hope this clears it up for you?

He still kinda has a point. 12/07/2009 02:56:59 Subject: Reeveloper Mistake in Templar AA Buffs Items that make it quicker to cast a spell read as : "Reduces cast time of beneficial spells by 5%" So basically, why don't the templar AA's say "Increases cast time of..." since "Increases speed" implies quicker not slower. When I increase speed in my car, I get to the destination quicker, not slower.

^ To use that example, the spell would say 'increases time of journey by 5%' or 'reduces time of journey by 5%'

The spell descriptions fit exactly what the spells do - increase or reduce cast times

i agree with the OP on this - the english language dictates that "an increase of speed" means you go faster, thus the wording on that stance tells me i can cast faster, not slower. instead of "increases casting speed" it should read "increases casting time". much less confusing.

If you right-click Examine spells while in each stance, I believe you'll find it's only a word-choice error, and not a mechanical one. :)

If its one thing you should know about SOE by now its that they are consistantly inconsistant...

Does anyone actually use our Healing stance? I don't like the slower casting on debuffs so I don't use it myself.

The words used may have been a poor choice, but the only error here is in your understanding of what they say.

Move along people.

"Increase Driving speed" is the same as saying "increase casting speed" you increase the speed at which you cast... just like you increase the speed at which you drive... it doesnt take LONGER for you to cast if you increase your casting speed, the same it wouldnt take longer to get to Point B if you Increased your driving speed....

"increase Driving TIME" or "Decrease Driving Speed" would indicate it takes longer to drive, AKA longer to cast....

Now if you were to actually listen to reason instead of the little baby troll in your head.. you would see that... but I doubt very much that you ever will..
