I have a friend who wanted to try out EQ2 so they down loaded the trial version and played it a bit. Then last month when the new EQ2 collector set came out they went and bought it. One of the selling points of this collector set was you get two months free play.

When they down loaded the trial version they were asked to create a station account which they did how ever now that they have the actually game it seems they have to make a choice.

A) They can continue with their toon from the trial account because they already have a station account set up, which if they do they would not be able to take advantage of the two months free from the collector set.

or

B) Create a new station account with the collector set they bought at which time they would be able to get the free two months but would have to start over with their toon.

I have been playing the game since it came out so I have never gone from a trial account to the full game before so am not sure if what my friend is telling me is correct. So do they have to make a choice? either keep what they have and lose the 2 months free or create a new email so they can make a new station account and get the two months free play but have to start over?

Would seem to me that it should not be complicated for someone to join EQ2 I would think they should be able to continue from were they left off on the trial account and still get the two months free????
