A new expansion. there has to be a reason for people to head out into the wild for PvP, and that reason has classically been to hunt people in zones where people are doing other things, like questing.

It started out you went looking for people to kill and those people were in new zones. some were just trying to quest, others were trying to kill the questers, yet others were just trying to engage the ones killing the questers, and others were just looking for another PvP group to engage. but the BASE reason, has always been the new zones.

the writ changes may help a little, but lets face it, most people wont bother going to JW or Fens just like now, cause theres NOTHING to do there. people trying to lvl to 80 are few and far between, mostly locked in instances with guildies powerlvling them. they roam out in the wild on occasion to slip in and do some quests, but otherwise thats it. Many people have maxed out thier AA's by now, or have enough to be comfortable, so questing is dieing.

You'll see PvP spike again when the next expansion comes out and everyone is trying to lvl and do new quests.

Even in the next xpac the zerg pvp will continue, I'd be willing to bet it will continue in TG. Think about it. Easy access via druid/sorc ports. Shared rez point if you have faction, and even if you don't the next closest is still really close. Unless there is a better spot in the new xpac (you really can't find a better spot for the zerg than TG), then the zerg will continue in TG, especially if the PvP gear next xpac is anything like the current gear is now.

That may be, but right now i go through zones and except for KP its barren. when the exp comes out there will be new zones and i can leave KP and head there and find people to fight.

Only until said ppl are done with the questing or whatever brought them there. Then you'll be back to TG or its new equivalent, unless some things drastically change ofc.

So no reason to upgrade Raid/PVP Gear with anything but the upcomings expansion of Raid/PVP Gear.

You don't usually go from one tier T7 to T8 and go from T7 Raid to T8 MC... you just goto the end of T8 and get new raid gear. Generally the Previous Tiers Raid Gear is better than the Next Tiers Group/Crafted Gear.
