I recently came back to EQ2 from an extended hiatus playing WoW and Aion. I had heard there was a LU that started pushing more of the rendering processes from the CPU to the GPU. Is this true? I'm not complaining about performance, but would love to get confirmation this is being addressed (move more processes to the GPU).

My system specs:

AMD 940 @ 3.5 Ghz

4GBs of 1066 RAM

1792MB Nvidia 275 OC'd

SSD for C:drive, running EQ2 on 7200RPM 500GB (32MB cache) drive

What I've seen after coming back:

I dual box and my CPU utilization on cores 0 and 1 are 100%, ~15% on cores 2 and 3. Memory utilization at 3.1 GB. Average FPS in all zones: anywhere from 30s-70s.

Thanks.

As Trellium mentions, you're probably referring to the new GPU shadows option when you mention shifting processes to the graphics card.
