I am trying to copy my current toons to Test server to check out the new content. I have all the test server downloaded and updated. I did the command /testcopy add , but when I tried to log in to Test I only got the option to create a new toon on Test server, which I did but still would like to have my current ones available to test. Am I doing something wrong? Also, when I got on to Test server, I did not realize there was actually 2 test servers, Test and Testcopy , how do I find the toons I /testcopy add ed to be able to play, or is there a waiting period for my toons to find there way there?

/testcopy add copies your toons to the Test Copy server in the next automated cycle, usually at midnight but not always. Toons cannot be copied to Test, which is a real live environment. They can only be copied to Test Copy, which is a temporary server that is periodically wiped.

So is there some kind of "buff bot" on Test server to check out some of the higher level stuff or do I actually have to level my poor little level 1, broke, no bags, no bank boxes fury there the hard way?

Moosha (buffer) only exists on the TEST_COPY server...

Test is a real environment. Dinging 80 with 200 AAs and full T2 armor would be rather disruptive to other players who call Test their home.

If you want to have a playground to test things out, check out Test Copy. You can create new toons or copy existing toons to Test Copy and buff them to 80 with 200 AAs and full armor.

You might need to make one new character on Test or Test_Copy in order for your copied character to show up.

you need to make a new character and when given a choice of servers choose Test_Copy, log in that toon and log out, many times this helps folks see their copied characters on character selection screen

It's rather nice, in a way, making a new toon or two on Test, and playing at a low level again, with all the difficulties that entails. You cannot send anything across servers to your toons, so you start from scratch on Test.

I've enjoyed it as I have been testing out new content on low level toons, and I made classes I haven't really played before. A Ranger for one, and a Zerker, though I do have a L 40 Zerker on Spl;itpaw with my other toons. But I wanted a figher one so I can go mad and hit things too from time to time. Test_Copy I use for my L 80 Swashie so I can test high end solo content.

It's well worth the time and effort to create a new character on Test, even if it's your Get-Away character. The server has a homey feel to it, the population is small enough that you get to know everyone.

Don't forget to join the channel "Test", which is the main chat for Test. Few people talk in the level chat channels, but with Test chat it feel like a server wide guild chat. Several guilds have their halls open to the public so that you can access their ammenities.

And, don't forget to have fun.

I agree with the lure of being able to play again from the beginning I did in fact make an alt on test Just for that reason. Those whippoorwill calls stick in your mind after all But I also want to use test copy and have since tried the request with 2 diff toons. The request appears to have worked and even sais if you wish to cancel this request type /testcopy cancel. I presume this means the request went through..But still nothing?

I Did create an alt on the test copy server..and I have even logged him in once or twice. But still no OTher alts besides The ONe I created on test, and the one I created MAnually on the test copy server show on my character selection screen?

SHould I just wait..Or am I missing something?

just a speculation but with beta going on and lots of copies going there, maybe the copy script for test copy server is on hold till beta ends?
