I am not sure if my issue is with the eq2 maps or with my use of EQ2maps. Feel free to direct me to eq2maps.

I have a map...zone a goal to get somewhere. I type the name into the box and click find and it brings up the name..in this case GLittering Mines and a /loc. I click on that loc and expect some sort of flash or something to tell me where it is, but I get nothing.. no way to idenify where the item is on the map beyond typing /way and the numbers that it shows me..which isn't very easy to utlize. what am I missing? How do I find the location on the map?

I too saw no flash, then I zoomed in on the map & could then see it..maybe that will help.

OK, so I went back to EL and test out your suggestions and it's true, as I got closer I was able to determine the flashing yellow dot.

It seemed the marker for the cave..the black and grey thing...sits over the top of the yellow dot that would flash when that far back.

Typing in the way point it displays isn't very practical for me as I'm visually impaired and can't easily read the numbers to type 'em in(as it is I just make guesses as to what it's saying when I"m mousing over looking for something /giggle), and if I were to do that, I'd be better off typing them into a /way as that would give me the green X and the wisp

I've had issues on and off with this new map (well I guess it's not so new anymore), but I'd finally had ENOUGH that day and wanted to figure out what I was doing wrong

I suspect I'll just keep looking up /ways on wiki or whatnot, I'm much better at copying and pasting way points then actually reading them
