I just spent some points in the templar line on Sooth. The AA effect is to add a threat decreaser to all nonfighters in group.

Does this cause just an immediate threat reduction on the mob? Or does it just treat all nonfighters as having less threat as long as the debuff is on the mob?

If it just causes a straight threat reduction, then can you just cancel the effect immediately and recast it for more threat reduction every 10 seconds? If the threat returns when the spell is cancelled or wears off, then it is useless considering the amount of threat being generated.

Anyone know?

$OE spell descriptions must be written by children that don't speak english and then the description is run through babelfish.

Enhance: Soothe (Rank 1)

Desc: Soothing an enemy additionally causes their hatred of their current target and all your non-fighter allies to be reduced. Soothe's casting speed is also hastened.

Sounds like everyone but the non targeted fighter gets a deaggro.

Effect: Adds an effect that reduces hate towards their current target, and improves casting speed by 0.1 seconds.

hmmm sounds like only current target regardless gets a deaggro.

Soothe (the spell)

Lowers the agression radius of an enemy. ...

Effects:

reduces awareness of enemies: If target is not epic

Dispelled when target (enemy I assume) receives hostile action. (so anything in a fight happens)

Dispelled when target takes damage. (So it stops working when 'any' damage occurs to the mob'

yet it stays up in your spell window and you can 'cancel it'

Good luck figuring it out.

I am specifically referring to the templar AA line. Spending points on Sooth gives an additional effect of causing a threat decrease to all allies that are not fighters, thus making it useful as an in-combat spell as well. (It also makes everyone in your group who is not a fighter start yawning, which is really cool!)

However, it is unclear if the threat decrease happens everytime I cast the spell, or only gives a temporary decrease as long as the spell is on the mob. In other words, I want to know if I'm wasting my time cancelling and recasting the spell every 10 seconds when I'm otherwise bored in a fight.
