I just had to upgrade my computer to windows 7. I no longer have the discs for the game. since i bought the game about 3 months after it launched. i went to station to reinstall, and there was 3 options: buy, dl trial and reinstall eq2. Its loaded way faster then i expected, but now when i log in it will show that it is down loading assets and the load times are forever. The game is in a file called EQ2 streaming...is that right?

Now i can not even log in the game keeps crashing after i ran profitui updater and eq2maps...anythoughts?

Greetings,

Try installing the Station Launcher over top of the streaming launcher. I believe you need to have the full game downloaded before installing profit, which the streaming patcher would not do. You can download the station launcher here:

http://launcher.station.sony.com/

It does try to think ahead a bit, but as I recall not much of that functionality is in yet.

So, its always streaming something while you play untill it has all it needs. Then it stops until you access new content. It repeats that until you have the whole game. If you back to a zone you already visited, it doesnt stream it again. You can also use the old patcher to download the whole game overnight (or as much as it completes, and then go back to streaming).

I know an 11gb download can be fairly discouraging for people who haven't tried it yet.
