How to pick a weapon for melee shaman?

<p>I've read a few posts talking about stats to watch for, for melee shamans.  People saying that you want a weapon with the highest possible max damage to take the most advantage of 100% crit rate.  Something about 3x damage, i didn't really understand.</p><p>But I just wanted to clarify, what criteria exactly should I look at when choosing a melee weapon?</p>

<p>Long delay, 4 or more seconds + highest possible damage on the top end.  It's that simple.</p>

For my alt mystic (62) he's using the MasterCrafted 2H Sledge, 6.0 sec delay and stats are STR/WIS, damage spread is 61-343 (It's currently a tier behind (level 52) but then, I do group/small group with him. This is just an example of what the consensus has been saying.
