ok so i found it odd that there were sokokar in the moors since they were originally innothule swamp.

sokokar were bred by atrebe on kunark

Rile's eldest son, Atrebe Sathir, unprepared for his inheritance to the empire, drew upon the dark powers of the Shissar legends and magiks for his source of power. Buried deep in his labs along with the greatest Iksar alchemists, he began experiments in breeding. His first result was a race of dragon-like soldiers called the Sarnak, powerful warriors and spellcasters used as fodder for his army. His second more successful breed was a great flying mount called Sokokar, a cross-breed of froglok and dragon.

now if this is the case and they were bred on kunark then why are they in the moors which was originally part of tunaria and quite distant from kunark. I understand also that they are flying creatures and it has been 500 years since the time split. I also understand that the moors have shifted due to the past cataclysms but... i find it odd that they are there.

Is there any explaination or did the devs just stick them there since they were new in kunark and wanted to ocntiune a theme?

No Lore reason for that really. But as they seems to like swamps, it's not a surprise they would adapt well in Moors. Were they able to fly from Kunark or were they brought there volontarly or not is anyone guess.

A non-Lore reason, is that the first plan for transportation in Moors was Sokokars rather than gnomish balloons (you still ride a Sokokar when going out of Palace's island even if you take a balloon to get there) and I guess it made more sense if you had wild sokokars running around rather than them only as transport.

The are mentioned in at least one of the quest dialogues with the gnomes. Unfortunately no explination is given for their presence. The gnomes are suprised by their presence as well! Its too bad the Frogloks don't talk about them a bit when your sent out to tag them. Since they are long term residents of the Moors they could shed some light on how the Sokokar arrived.

Yeah one of the gnomes even asks you to bring back samples for him to study the differences between these and the ones on Kunark. It surprises him what he finds, but no explanation as to how they got there.

Probably the same reason as the owlbears in Nek Forest though: Intentional or unintentional introductions of these animals into those environments.
