Ok, where to start. I have constant video card crashes (with occasional blue screening) with this card and this game. I have been reading through the forums and tried the various control panels settings, then tried the 186 driver and nothing seems to be working. My next attempt is to try the 195 beta driver for this card.

Now, There is a thread in here that talks about power issues, however having played a few other games (the new call of duty, etc) and having NO problems I'm lead to believe that it is a driver issue with this game. I dont know if the eq2 devs have been in touch with the nvidia devs but I vaguely remember seeing on the beta driver issues fixed page that at least one of the fixes was for eq2.

Ok, for what it is worth, my specs are ASUS p6t, 12 gig ram, gtx295 coop, corsair 750w power, win7, core i7 920

I have noticed on the 186 driver that I dont get blue screens, rather the video driver just crashes out and recovers.

So... I dont know where to go from here other than to try the 195 beta drivers. I'm not going to buy a new video card for this game because it doesnt crash on my other games.

frustratedly yours,

tshook

SLI support... I just saw the post concerning the 295 and sli

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=462131

So, the next thing I am going to try is to run with the beta driver tonight and if that borks, then I will disable sli support (just run on one GPU)

I'll keep updating this as I try different things until I can get at least a full hour of uncrashed gameplay.

Ok, I'm going to claim a partial victory... Played today for bout 2+ hours and no crashes.

I'm using the beta driver and on 1 gpu instead of multiple...

will try going to 2 gpu's too see if the beta was the answer or not, however the sli issue seems to be the solution (config for 1 gpu)

either way.... yeah!

No further crashes. beta driver and turning off one of the GPU cores worked (cant tell if the result was one or the other since I dont want to mess with something that works).

Either way... Good to go
