<p>since reinstalling eq2 its decided to store the log files in some bizarre location in the user profile.</p><p>is there some way to change the location?</p><p>thanks</p>

<p>I usually hate to necro a thread, but I think this warrants it, in the name of keeping all the information in one location.</p><p>While MKLINK is great, it's also NOT available in Windows XP.  Microsoft Technet to the rescue.</p><p><a href="http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896768" target="_blank">The Junction utility is available from Technet</a>, and serves a similar purpose in Windows XP.</p><p>Here is how to make it work, step by step.</p><p>1.  Clean out and delete your current logs folder.  For instance, I deleted C:GamesEQ2LogsButcherblock</p><p>2.  Create the folder you want your logs to live in.  For instance, I created D:EQ2Logs</p><p>3.  Use the Junction command to create the link.  For example, I used JUNCTION C:GamesEQ2LogsButcherblock D:Logs</p><p>Now, all my log files "think" they are going to C:GamesEQ2LogsButcherblock, when instead they are going to D:Logs.  For me, this was critical since my C: drive is a SSD, and I don't want to waste reads/writes to the drive.  My D: drive is a typical SATA drive and so putting the logs there doesn't affect the long term performance of the drive.</p><p>Hope this helps someone.</p>
