I just installed Windows 7 Home Premium x64. Installation of EQ2 from the disc causes the computer to crash and re-boot. Installation from download and station launcher has an error about not able to open pictures and it crashes to desktop. I have tried compatability mode, I have tried administator mode. Anyone have an idea? Am I missing some sort of componant to windows maybe? NET service or somthing?

I had previously run EQ2 sucessfully on the Win 7 Release Client, my system passes all tests and is compatable in all ways with everything.

Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.5. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".6. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"

The complete shutdown/reboot you're reporting seems to indicate a bigger issue, though. Do you get a blue screen with that crash or does it simply reboot without an error message? If it doesn't display an error then a heat or power supply issue seems likely. Did you change out any hardware around the time this issue started occurring?

This fix is not working for me Daniel. What's the next step to help resolve this?
