I have characters that I have loooong deleted still being listed, for whatever reason, under my admin settings. You can still look them up, find them, and look at their stuff, alts, etc. Right now, it's listing over 12 toons of mine... and I only have 7 at the moment.

Why aren't these characters getting dumped when I deleted them?

It's a known issue that "they" are working on. I came here to ask the same question, but saw that it was listed in a stickied thread.

If they so desire they need to move older unactive toons 24 months+ and deleted toons to a seperate database. That they can then reload if needed. Right now thier database and lag caused by it are a mess and the 64bit upgrade is not going to fix that.

personally, i'm glad they keep them. took a break of nearly two years to try vanguard, hang out with friends in WoW etc etc, and was able to come back to my old toons and pick up where i left off, although, totally lost -grin-

this was pertaining to 'inactive toons' not 'deleted toons' hope they get THAT fixed soon

I don't want them to be permanantly deleted from their databases, just not show up :p.

More data that the thing has to search through? Longer times in searching a database. Just the way it goes.
