View Full Version : Deleting Characters

Ok, this is a little weird one, and not directed at gameplay specifically, more of an annoyance.

When I delete a character from my account, it still shows up everywhere else. Like, I can still make it my persona on these forums, and they still show up as toons that I have on the Launcher. They do not show up once I'm at the character select since that's where I deleted them from, just at the other spots. Any idea how to fix that or are they just going to keep adding up?

depends which launcher.

eq2 launcher. I know there is a file in the program directory that you can edit and/or remove. I think it's named something accountname_servername.ini it's a text file

don't know about the IM launcher.

as for the forums... probably a station.com issue you can do anything about.

Greetings,

You can force an update of the quick select menu(for the launcher) by deleting the following file out of your Everquest 2 directory:

stationname_characters.ini

So, if your station name is tsrdanielh then it would be tsrdanielh_characters.ini. The game will then update that list the next time you log in.

Regarding the forum persona, that's related to the list on EQ2players. If it is showing up there after the character has been deleted then we will probably need to delete the entry from our end. If you contact our support line through phone, chat, or e-mail then we should be able to start that process for you. The following link contains all of our contact information:

http://help.station.sony.com/cgi-bi...p?p_faqid=10404

Thanks, I'm going to email y'all right now. It's not a huge deal, just a little obnoxious, lol.

If necessary I can take over the ticket to make sure it reaches the appropriate people.

Thanks, I appreciate that.
