Ok so what exactly does it do? I understand the importance of detrimental spell skills, and the role they play on resists. No one in thier right mind would resist a heal. So what exactly does Ministraton and ordination do? I heard there is a very small reduction in power cost if you have that skill capped. Ok thats fine and well and good. Whats the point of gear that raises that skill then? Even more slight power reduction? Is there some other role that ministraton plays that i'm missing? Is + ministration gear even worth it?

Though I'm new to healers on my Inquisitor alt, you're on track with what I've learned. Ordination is a useful skill. It's the offensive casting skill for non-damaging debuffs. (On my Inquisitor, it's one of my most important casting skills.) However ministration just lowers your personal mana cost on healing by a bit. To my knowledge, it has no kind of offensive application.

Correct on all counts. Ministration has a tiny effect on power cost, and no other official, documented benefit.

As far as I have been able to figure out, 5 ministration = 1 power point cost reduction. So really, not a skill to worry about.

It's not that much. My Ministration is around 450 and I think my overall power cost reduction is less than 20 points. There are some items that reduce power cost directly, and are far more effective if you feel the need for something along those lines.

So at 450, you have 50 over the cap so 50/5=10 power point reduction. But yeah I agree there are far easier ways with dealing with power issues then min/maxing ministration.

To clarify, it's 1% cost reduction per 5 ministration over your default value for your level. That's actually not too bad, considering that power maintenance is more based on regen versus your costs/drains these days anyway. It's usually only significant when someone is say, in a group with a warlock and troubador, so has a huge amount of +ministration from the warlock group buff and from troub song of magic.
