I lazily fired up my streaming client just now and ended up with Nagafen - not my usual choice of Test_Copy characters. Huh?

I don't think it is quite ready for real time, or did we just move the test there and I slept through the announcement?

I want my Test Copy server back.. long zone-ins mean dead character... I'm afraid to move... Naggy isn't a friendly place right now as it is.

Our latest build of the streaming patcher for test resulted in pointing to live servers. This was a mistake and should be corrected soon.

We are planning on making the streaming client available for use on live servers later today if all goes well.

{{giggle}}

It is running ok once it loads a zone - in fact, the cpu's don't seem to be running as warm.

I ran a couple instances I had not been in, and other than the group kept asking "are you coming" while I was zoning, it worked fine after that. I do worry about the download speeds on Naggy once more people are using it. It's still noticably slower than the regular install. It seems to leave me in immunity while I am zoning, so I have a chance to get my bearings once it finishes.

OK, I see it has that same memory error as the main client does - only it seems to hit when I'm zoning to someplace I've not been before - most often isntances (like VP today)

OK, I'm sure this has been posted on the bit about the streaming client - but that thread has gotten HUGE (not sure how you follow that Rothgaar) If you want me to recopy it, just let me know.

OK, repeatable but not consistant fail - zoning into a new area, most particularly an instance. I will, I will, I will PROMISE to get a screenie.

I did a quick look through the original thread and on the last page they were still asking the question so I figured it was not answered. Thank you

We have 4 computers that play EQ, but a 10GB cap on downloads each month. We end up needing to copy EQ2 patches over the network so we don't redownload them 3 more times after the first one. The streaming client sounds great for the smaller patches, but for larger patches it isn't viable.
