needed a huge break from gaming so i took 10 months off. am downloading game on my new computer as we speak and wondering what ive missed. ive got my mythical and a full set of the T1 gear from shadow odyssey and a few bits of the T2 stuff. i used to be a sweet raid healer with M1 spells and could solo heal a ton of the instances. that said, im going to feel new all over again and was curious as to any new tricks or tidbits that have come about over the spring and summer that i should be on the lookout for? i dont want to suck or wipe any groups repeatedly out of the gate.. thanks in advance

While I'm just leveling my Inquisitor alt, here's a general run down as I've seen it (as a Brigand).

1) As it stands right now, the 'base line' that most players consider to be the acceptable minimum is full T2 armor. While not fair to newer players, a majority of people have achieved a full set of T2+ gear by this point in the expansion. However with your high M1 count and Mythical, it won't be as much of a problem for you.

2) In the realm of gear climbing, a x2 raid zone was introduced while you were gone (off of LS) called Ward of Elements (WoE). These named mobs drop T3 patterns (which upgrade T2 pieces) and have a significant increase in your Critical Mitigation score. The addition of T3 armor has helped to round out the itemization of raid guilds who don't have a full set of T4+ armor. (The base line for WoE is your Fabled / Mythical epic, all Ad3 / Expert+ abilities, and T2+ armor. Also people usually have some of the new Elemental Shard items from the LS repeatables.)

3) If you've been gone a while, then you're probably AA deficient by today's raiding standards. At 172 and 174 AA, you'll be able to gain access to your class specific TSO AA end line abilities. For healers, you've got both an Offensive Stance and Healing Stance. Both of these come with their own benefits and drawbacks. There is a noticeable difference between a person with 160 AA and 180 AA. OF course, your goal is to hit 200AA.

4) How do you get AA? Well the repeatable daily void shard missions do award AA even when you repeat them. The same goes for the Moors repeatable quests. Then we've also got the added 80th level void content and 50th level Sootfoot content in Lavastorm. As if that isn't enough, they also added a new RoK faction called the Order of Rime. You can start the anti-Rime quests in KP, then by the end of the Fens series you can also start the pro Rime series. (At the end of the series, you can spend 40p for a nice Icemare mount.) Or mentor / Chronomagic down and hunt down the various named mobs that you've missed along the way. If you've never recieved AA yet for a specific mob, they will now have a little star above their name.

Also while I'm thinking about it, a lot of the min / maxers that I know believe that an Inquisitor should have both a T3+ healer armor set and a T3 hybrid (dps) armor set. This is in addition to various pieces of dps and healing gear. In theory, these powerhouse Inquisitors will switch gear pieces and sets on the fly depending on how much healing is neccessary to keep a group moving.

Though for someone who's getting into the void shard game late, this may be an unrealistic goal.
