Hey Guys,

I have almost zero knowledge of this game. I played for a total of about a week right after launch, and recently restarted with my wife and son (Son is playing a necro and my wife is trying to decide between her Defiler and Inquisitor).

I am really enjoying my Shadowknight, but I am panicking about where to put my AA points and which traits to pick. I'm havign very little luck researching the different classes too, and my wife and son are starting to ask questions about *their* classes. I'm a little worried about telling them that I haven't a clue because usually I either have or can quickly find (aka: google knows) information for them.

Do you guys know of any great sources for information about the classes and maybe some guides to different specs? Also, is there anywhere out there that has good comparisons on the different classes in a given archetype? (wife's asking about the benefits of inquisitor vs. defiler and i'm in a bit over my head lol)

Seems like eq2 has gotten a good bit more complex than i remembered.

Thanks in advance!

hi welcome back to eq2

for aa your first path should be 1 point in concenter to enhance focus (first point in crusader tree to start the lines)

then concentrate on the INT line 4 4 8 points in there (so first buble 4, second 4 and third 8 ) it will enhance the power you do with spells a must have since you are a caster fighter.

after this you can go two ways or the STR line to the end or reaver line in the Sk tree. I find it matters if you go slow play (slider to 100%) and only level when you want too it's better to go STR line first cause some abilities in the reaver line come later so why enhance them beforehand.

So if you play slow go STR line first then reaver.

Any other playstyle it's maybe better to go reaver first then the STR line.

But whatever path you will go these lines first. So the first 60 points are setted out.

After that well it differs I myself went 4 1 in STA then filled the right side of the Sk tree to strenghthen my debuffs.

Then went to the TSO lines. But before you reach that it will take a while.

Let us know how you went and faired. Enjoy

Thanks Levatino!

I had started down the reaver line already just because it looked interesting and I wasn't really sure how stats affected the abilities. So I'm switching over into the crusader stuff tonight. Pretty interesting that Int factors more than Str for us. Is it because our lifetap stuff is all magic based damage and Int affects that most?

As far as AA vs. Normal Xp I will probably be doing a mix. I tend to level a little faster than my wife and son so anytime I get ahead of them by more than a couple of levels and I'm soloing I'll probably go 100% AA and then back to Normal Xp once they get back into the 2 level range.

The world seems massive! We're really enjoying it so far. Last night we reached levels 20Inq/21Nec/22SK. It seems like a really powerful combo. Thanks again for your input!

Int doesn't necesarilly factor more than str. Your power pool is 3/4 str and 1/4 int. If you look in your knowlegebook you'll notice that some of your abilities are combat arts and some are spells. The combat arts are affected by str and the spells are affected by int. And your melee auto-attack is affected by str and in higher levels you will do more damage with your auto-attack.

SK is a fun class and very enjoyable. Both crusaders are
