Should I just buy the new expansion pack DVD/CD? It seems to have the base game and all the expansions... is this true?

(the game will be going on a new PC that I am building, and I dont have any of my old eq2 files)

The last time I tried downloading about a year ago it took DAYS!!! Seriously.

Greetings,

While the game disks will shorten the download time, it will still require a decent amount of download time because of the game updates that followed. What kind of connection are you using? Assuming you use a broadband connection then it should not take longer than 6 hours, and my home connection ususually takes less than 3 hours. If it takes longer then that usually means there is some sort of connection issue we will need to help you correct.

In related news, we plan to release a streaming version of the client soon and that should prevent the long initial download before playing. The streaming client will only download files as they are needed by the game. I believe that update is on the test server at the moment, but I'll post an update when it comes to the live servers.

6 hours is by far more manageable than the last time I tried.

Thanks!

Just to make sure, the new expansion has the base game and the other expansions included correct?

Thanks again.
