View Full Version : Friend gets "invalid password" when he tries to log in.

He was able to play last night. Today he can not log in.

I went over his house and

1) Antivirus is upto date

2) All windows patches are installed

3) A complete scan found no viruses or rootkits

4) No Keyloggers where found using 3 different scanners

I can go into his house in South Qeynos and all his stuff is still inside.

What should we do?

Out of desperation we tried the "I forgot my password" (which he didn't) link at station account and we received the message that someone had already asked for his password to be sent to his email account within the last 24 hours (which he also did not do).

Still need help.

And we are hoping that without his email address that the person who reset his password can not get access to his account.

Until now he hasn't received a mail.

He will proably have to verify accouint ownership that could include credit card being used, original information, etc. Live support can be accessed via the Search the Knowledge Base link in the upper right corner. Their hours are 10 AM to 7 PM pacific, so be sure to adjust those hours to your time zone

Generally when we see these cases it means that someone hacked the user's e-mail and answered the secret question. Whoever did it probably erased teh password reset e-mail from the inbox. Please contact us through phone, chat, or e-mail and we will help you recover/secure the account.
