You might have better luck posting in the General Tech Support Questions forum.

Some of the obvious questions:* Are you doing a _clean_ uninstall of old drivers?* Which version (and build) of Windows are you using?* Which version (and build) of DirectX are you using?

Interesting you say this.

I just (lastnight) updated my NVIDIA drivers, and my game seems to run a bit smoother. I had no problems what-so-ever atleast not yet, though I was very prepared to have them. I took caution and made sure I had a backup and took SS of any setting I though I might lose.

First thing I ask is did you properly uninstall your old drivers before installing the new ones. Most times people dont do this correctly and have issues?

Next I will refer you to this page.

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=376876

TSR-ChrisL gives a great guide to updating your drivers.

GL!

Also this is in the wrong section btw.

Does the game give you the Send/Dont Send thing? If you run in windowed mode and it just closes if your full screen?

For me, and others I have seen online, with the new drivers the UI flickers constantly. If I go back to 186.xx it's fine. It seems its an issue with dual monitors for me though. Im running Win7 Pro with a 295GTX on dual 19" monitors.

I started a thread on this a while ago. In WinXP, the latest drivers would cause me to crash all the time when opening up windows or watching videos or whatever. Downgrading to the previous version of drivers fixed all issues.

Then I upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit. I installed the latest drivers and am not having any crashing issues. So it actually looks like an issue with the drivers and XP. I didn't have a flicker issue, I had a crashing issue though.

Some releases of 19X drivers work woth hardware configurations, some don't and csue all sorts of issues, have one machine running Windows 7 with 2 285's and it runs perfectly with 191.07, another machine with a single 285 crashes, has the UI flashing, etc. 186.xx is a lot more stable then the currecnt 19X drivers

I had a problem with these new drivers as well, my UI completely disappeared, there was no way for me to get the UI back, reloading, relogging, full file scan, changing preferences from launcher nothing, it looked just like I hit F10.

I finally uninstalled the new drivers, reinstalled the old and there was my UI.
