Ok so most games have the option to maximize the screen while staying in windowed mode...so if you have a dual monitor setup, you can mouse over to the second screen without having to minimize or alt-tab out.

As of now, I'm having to use windowed mode non maximized in order to keep using my dual monitor setup. Before I upgraded to Windows 7, EQ2 was in maximized in windowed mode (but I don't know how I got it to do that.)

I want to maximize it again in windowed mode (so no bars on top or bottom) but can't figure out how I did it back in Windows XP. Any advice? Thanks.

Greetings,

I don't fully understand the question and will probably need some more information in order to help. I use a dual-monitor system at work and this is how I understand the full-screen/windowed options:

-In windowed mode(maximized) it will take up all of one screen except for the taskbar at the bottom and the bar at the top that has the minimize/maximize/close options.

-In full screen mode it will remove the bars at the top and bottom but it will 'trap' the mouse within the game window, preventing you from moving the pointer to the second monitor.

Are you trying to get it to some kind of option between those 2? If so, the only thing I can think of is to have it in windowed mode on your seconday monitor. That would prevent the task bar from appearing at the bottom of your game window at least. I am not aware of an option to remove the bar on the top.

Go to windowed mode.

Then grab the right hand corner of the of the window and drag just like you would resize any window.

I think thats what you're asking ...

Hi again. Went home last night and had a chat wit my bro and all you need to do is with the game closed go into your EQ2 folder and open up the eq2 recent.ini file and edit the screen resaloution, it will be displayed as something a little less as its accounting for the top and bottom bars. If you know your screen res then you should be able to alter that line and restart eq2. Hope that helps a bit

Regarding the taskbar, you should be able to load the game on top of it. If you go into your control panel and open the taskbar options then there should be a 'Keep taskbar on top of other windows' option that you can disable.

The title bar is a different situation and I am not sure how to remove that besides pushing it off the screen. I searched around and found some programs that seem to do it, but I couldn't find any commands to do so without extra tools.

Evening

I have found your answer....

Open your eq2_recent.ini file from your eq2 folder and look for theses 4 lines.

cl_screenwidth_windowed {your screen width}cl_screenheight_windowed {your screen hight}cl_screenposx_windowed_restore_down 0cl_screenposy_windowed_restore_down 0

this should put it in windowed mode but appear full screen with not bars at top or bottom
