<p>I'm sure if Straha ever starts playing EQ2 and wins a contest to generate an in-game item in EQ2 we'll see KFC hit our servers too.</p><p>It wasn't because the developers were big fans of Strah. It was because he won a contest which included a new computer...</p>

I mean that he had to win a contest to get in-game credit for all the good publicity he had generated over the years for EQ1. </p><p>I've always thought it was a double shame that SOE didn't encourage or even help him to publish his Comic book but instead they delibrately blocked him from publishing it even as a self publish item!  imo .. it is/was a HECK of a lot better than those 2 crappy (imo) dry books on EQ1.</p><p>Though, I don't know if Domino would have required him to win the contest .. come to think of it either Friznik or 'that other dev' had added in a bunch of outspoken Crafters into Alchemy way back when for no other reason than they were helpful on the forums.  And, of course Denmother's Trailmix!</p><p>In fact ... I think it would be a very good idea to add in a new recipe for Provisioners, here, for a Straha's Kunark(ian) Fried Cockatrice!   *signs her name to the petition* <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" /></p>

You know, actual EQ2 crafters.</p><p>Oh, and SOE has a long history of trying to keep people from making money from their intellectual property. Most companies do. I certainly don' blame any artist for trying to prevent other artists from stealing their work. If you don't think Straha is stealing SOE's intellectual property by using their world, races, cities, settings, spells, ect ect ect just because he is mixing in his own ideas and origional creations then you'd have an interesting interpretation of the copy write laws. Yeah, its good advertizing for EQ in general, but I can't see Straha selling the work to SOE, nor can I see SOE taking a small enough of a cut of any profits to make it worth publishing. Now Straha could publish his Smoke series since it content is origional. </p>
