Everytime I start the game for the past week I get EQ2 Client Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. If I do not click on Send Error Report or Don't Send I can play as if I never got the error. The error message just sits there until I log out of EQ2. If I click on it then obviously it closes EQ2. First thing I tried was deleting my Cache folder, did not work. So then I uninstalled/installed the game, patched it and tried again. Same thing happens. Do not have this issue when I log into World of Warcraft. or play Medieval 2 Total War so I am kinda lost. Last night I formatted the PC reloaded windows. Got the latest and greatest drivers for video, sound, chipset, everything. Then installed EQ2 again patched it and I get the same exact error.

System Specs:

Pentium D 2.80GHz dual core

3GB Ram

XP sp3 Media Center Edition

Nvidia GeForce 7950 GT

Onboard Sigmatel sound

Thanks in advance!

Which server you play on? I am from Antonia Bayle, and a lot of us have great computers. It is the actual server that keeps our game up. I hear when they get over populated, it tends to create a few issues with so many people

I suddenly have the exact same problem! Earlier today (before this issue) the game crashed due to some graphical error. Then I got the newst graphic driver and BIOS. After the reboots of these upgrades the problem started.

I play on the Lucan D'Lere server.

System specs:

E8500 Core 2 Duo (clocked to 3,8 GHz)

4GB RAM

Windows XP sp 3

GeForce 9800 GX2 (ASUS) (newest nvidia driver)

ASUS Striker II Extreme motherboard (newest BIOS)

I too rebuilt my computer today and had the same issue. There's aparently a problem with the Oct 5th drivers for Nvidia cards. (I have a 9600 GT) and EQ2. Something about a memory leak. I just went back to the August on and so far so good. Try that.

Tried it and so far so good. Nice call. I wonder what happened to cause this. Worked fine for ever then all the sudden screwed up. Anyways good call and for anyone else with same issue, go to the archived drivers section on nvidias site and try the August driver.

Thanx
