Petamorph wands serisously need to have the "or until your pet dies" part taken out of the picture. Nothing sucks more than to use it and then watch in horror as you pet bites the dust just 10-15 minutes after it's cast.

How very disappointing to see you taking a robe that is already in the game and putting it on station cash. I was looking forward to seeing something that is actually new. Maybe I can have a good laugh at the people that buy that robe with real money when they could have got it for free. At least the plushies are cute even though we still can't put them in the guildhalls.

Just a note . . . I am finding it rather disturbing that more and more items players have been asking for years on end now are being only added to station cash.

Further, we are getting items added to Station Cash multiple times per month while waiting for months on end for next to no new content in game.

The direction this game is taking is quickly draining my enthusiasm for it. For the second time since TSO was released I find myself having serious discussion about cancelling all my accounts and abandoning SOE as a vendor all together.

As a side note. Seeing these things pop up on LON or station cash doens't get my goat, though I appreciate it does some and I respect your opinions. I make decisions on each item as it comes along, some I get, most I don't. I have felt and still do feel I get WAY more entertainment then my $15 a month and don't begrudge the extra stuff at all. My entertainment expesnes since joing eq2 are way down...buying one or two games a month....this is still cheaper..even with the badget plushie I'll pay for!

Some people will be upset for sure.

Seems a little backwards to me and again, cheaply thrown together.

Also, I have bought a few items off of station cash, so I'm not saying this just to bash it, but I would rather spend money on something special. A complete laughable joke at this point. Now you are pulling content (appearance and fashion is content even if labeled fluff by some.) that has been live for months because you just suddenly made it station cash. Sorry I don't buy this BS excuse for the lack of creativity in creating something new. The texture wouldn't have been in game for months if it was intended for station cash.

Shame on your sony, samn on you executives and producers.
Ya know I've came to grips with the whole SC thing .. as far as it being in game and it providing certain fluff items and of course automated services, the furniture still rubs me wrong ... but ... I have to say this mess does nothing but hurt SC and SOE.

Why? Because it shows a very bad standard. It's already too common to acquire an item from raid, quest, drop, etc .. and have the stats nerfed to hell and back .. but .. at least it was a 'rare' occassion when an item Graphic would change and if it did it was usually done in such a manner that only the new items were affected.

Off hand I can only think of the SMR, (1) cloak whose name slips my mind, & of course the infamous "Blissful Awareness" that had their graphics completely changed after several months of it being whatever it was previously and now the Bloodlines?

What do they say? ... 1x is a chance, 2x is a coincidence, 3x is a conspiracy and more than 3x is a statistical fact ..

----

SOE should have left the Bloodline Robe alone, pulled the SC Robe from the roster and just tweaked it for next time. Not like there aren't already 'near identical twin' armor/house item graphics already in SC.

Bad Move SOE ...

thanks for the new SC items but I would much prefere that our tailors were awarded a new recipie quest. update the game not SC or LoN. updating the game makes my enjoyment factor go up and the higher my enjoyment factor is the more friends I try to get on to eq2 with me and thus the more $15 per month subscriptions you get. As it stands I have to be honest with my friends and say "well the game is only 15 bucks a month but if you want any of the cool stuff you have to play this stupid card game to try and get the in game loot or spend station cash and that gets very expensive very fast. I think SOE can do better than SC get rid of it and work the game itself... make the game itself more rich than it already is and people will come I promise ( I know I am not the only one that would tell my friends). Don't get me wrong I know there are those of you who LOVE LoN and that's great I just personally feel that it should be a seperate game altogether. seporate the two and let us subscribe to one or both, the loot we could get from LoN should just be added to eq2 in the form of quests.

The new appearance has not yet been in game for a full update cycle. I was the one who upgraded the armor, because I definitely agreed with the person at Fan Faire who pointed out that the evil side armor looked much less nice than the good side (and was also mismatched). And hey, pretty outfits are good! Even for evil folks.

Unfortunately, the name of the appearance of the leather plated robe is only 1 (that's ONE) character different from the name of the metal plated robe. I should have used the leather for the evil side (I intentionally used the plate for the good side because a blue leather set already exists, in Tupta) but I didn't notice it was one character off.

I should also have noticed when the station wallet robe was planned, but again I missed it.

Normally for minor appearance goofs like this we'd just fix it and let it go in with the next regular game update instead of hotfixing it, but as this thread highlighted there was confusion and concern, I was able to ask for the change to be included in this week's hotfix to hopefully reduce that confusion.

So, while it might be nice to claim I'm just the messenger and blame Evil Forces of Conspiracy<tm> up above me, alas, this is not true, and I'm completely and fully the only person to blame here. I goofed, and I apologize.

I shall be hanging out on Test server later this evening as usual, so if you feel the need to give me an earful about the error of my ways, I will be happy to apologize in person also!

/ashamed halfling

Sorry I don't buy this BS excuse for the lack of creativity in creating something new. The texture wouldn't have been in game for months if it was intended for station cash.

Shame on your sony, samn on you executives and producers. Sentinal's Fate files being downloaded to your client directory does not make them accessible in game. So no nothing from Sentinal's Fate has been in game since Mid-May. But nice try on rewording what I said.. for.. brownie dev points or something. Have a cookie.

2. Gage covered the rest pretty much (+1 Gage for reading comprehension.)

very bad move

Personally, I feel these are the least consequential set of gripes i've heard on these boards in a long time. People's main VALID concern with Station Cash is that it could affect gameplay, which it seems is a distinct future possibility (what next? Class change potions doing the equivalent of a 4-hour+ Betrayal grind for $25?), so why the idea that the Devs can do as they wish with regards to the art designs THEY are putting up for sale, that they would ACCIDENTALLY have changed a graphic they would shortly after be charging money for and then correcting it, should cause such outrage is beyond me.

Besides, Shiny Metallic Robe has a similar look with a proper metallic finish to it, and it doesn't cost a thing!

SOE doesn't release their subscription numbers. If we assume this game has 75,000 subscribers at the moment then its generating $1,124,250 per month - if you're honestly trying to tell me that isn't enough to get the same monthly GUs we used to get instead of putting almost everything new and worthwhile on LoN/SC, I simply do not agree.

To me, these things seem a bit more important than adding RMT content and maintaining a card game, and would be more lucrative in the long run to SOE than nickle and diming their shrinking player base.

Why is it that there really has been no focus on picking up new subscribers, or keeping the ones they've got? Sure, there was that program that urged the player base to pitch the game to friends, but I don't believe I've ever seen an ad for EQ2 except when surfing gaming sites.

And an example of the selection of retail EQ2 boxes in mid TN:

Hastings: Base EQ2 in collectors tin, RoK

BestBuy: RoK

Walmart: None

Target: None

EBGames:None

Gamestop:RoK

GameTrader:EoF, RoK

This was 3 months after the release of The Shadow Odyssey, and I travel the area for a living so I stopped at multiple locations of each of these stores... 6 BestBuys and no TSO. That's just sad.

But the point I'm trying to make is that the actual game is falling by the wayside to make room for LoN and SC. Money spent on these two things would be better spent on ads to entice more people to play, and on fixing/maintaining/adding content to the base game to keep current subscribers happy and paying.

"I know that this is a development that many are not going to be pleased with." -Kiara on an LoN update

"Believe me that I understand your displeasure with this." -Kiara -same context as previous

"Some of you want to know if the San Diego team worked on this, darn right we did. It is definately not why the expansion is in February." -Brenlo on an LoN update

So, as we can see, time that could be used to fix things is instead used to add things. And just look at all these nice unique items...just what everyone has been asking for since year one...except you have to open your wallet for them.

But at least SC and LoN aren't full of bugs like the base game, THANK GOD.
