Guild, say, ooc and shout all work fine.</p>

And Blackburrow. Tells and group chat is working, but only on the local server. I can't get any tells across servers. And those world channels that have moved into the custom list won't stay turned on if you set them. And I'm told the banker is broken too.

<p>4PM CST and Nek has lost its chat channels..or at least when I logged back in today (was on earlier and they were fine) I can no longer see any world or server chat channels.  Guild chat works, but in my chat windo, all the normal world level channels are now showing up in custom and the World channel section is completely blank.</p>

The problems with the chat and UI today have been reoccurring on and off since launch.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">Why aren’t the devs in the bosses’ office? Or fired and replaced? Why not take the whole EQ2 offline for a few days, a couple weeks, month, whatever it takes and purge/format/defrag/rebuild the whole thing and get rid of all these glitches once and for all.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">Everything will be stable, neater, faster, you will re-familiarise yourselves with it all and be able to put things in a more sensible order making future updates smoother.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">I’m sure you would get a hell of a shouting at by the boss and here on the forums, but I for one would appreciate your work and that everything should be perfect once it’s done.</p>

I for one would be severly mad if I was to pay to play this game and then it goes down for a month. The customer base eq2 would lose if it was down for a month would be astronomical and I think that us players can deal with the odd issue that arise. At least SoE does what they can to fix the issues as fast as they are able being a live player base that is using their systems 24/7. Sometimes the problems take longer then desirable to fix.. but they do get fixed. I for one haven't had one memory leak problem since this weeks mainenance -cross's fingers it is gone for good- and I was having them every hour almost. Sure the chat has been down for a couple hours .. but at least they are working on it and are keeping us players posted as to when they expect it to be up n running. Give them a little break n let them do their jobs.</p>

<p>I've also been having this same problem as of today, but only with level 1-80 chat and private chat channels (Guild chat and my Friends list are working fine though). The first time (earlier this morning), I was able to /camp <character> and my chat channels all came back...but when it happened again later in the day this no longer worked. I did a full restart (pc and client) and still the same outcome.</p><p>I'm glad to see that the TSR team has replied and  the issue is getting looked into. Daniel, there's nothing wrong with the NPCs as long as you don't use a mail box. Trying to use mail locks you into a transaction which makes any further transaction give the 'you're too busy' error. Zoning appears to fix it. I just tested on Blackburrow.

I just tested on Blackburrow.</blockquote><p>I just confirmed this on my end as well.  Zoning/camping to a different character will fix it.  It seems like clicking the mailbox will open an invisible window that you can't close.  That causes you to get a "You're too busy" message when trying to interact with NPCs.</p><p>I'm sure this will clear up once the chat/mail servers come back online but zoning/camping will fix it for now.  Thanks for the info.</p>

<p>With all the money subscribers pay in monthly fees and Station Cash purchases you'd think SOE would be able to employ a NOC with monitoring of all production servers and services.  They should also have test PCs setup with test accounts so that any NOC employee can log into any server and any zone to confirm any production problems found with network monitoring and customer reports.  We really shouldn't be this far into an outage with an SOE employee asking if we're sure we logged out of the client all the way.  The *only* reason that question should have been asked is if an SOE employee logged into the server in question and confirmed that chat and friends lists are working fine.  I did not see that statement so until SOE employees confirm that EVERYTHING is working fine EVERYWHERE they should not ask the customers to start troubleshooting.  At a minimum, SOE should tell us if they see the problem or not.</p>

<p>The Station launcher chat seems to be dead since the friends list bug of this weekend. I can send tells but cannot receive any. People see what I am saying but they cannot reply to me. The chat is broken and so are the friends list on the launcher.</p>
