Be sure you are running the patcher as administrator. you can do this by right clicking the icon, goto properties then click the compatilibility tab & check the box at the bottom.

It will pop up a warning when you click the patcher, telling you that your are running the program as an admin.

Also, be sure that the account your logged in with is an administrator account.

Best tip: Run Windows as an admin and skip that UAC crap alltogether -> no problems anymore at all. UAC generates way more problems than the possible threats it tries to defend.

Windows 7 shares some of the same security features used by Vista so it can require a few compatibility steps. If you work through the following steps then it should resolve the problem:

1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.5. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".6. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"

Let us know if the problem persists after trying the above.

Ty all for the replies, Run as admin was the trick for individual client, Station Launcher on the other hand is being a bit more stubborn. Still come up with :

Unable to load application files from Program Files (x86)Sony Online EntertainmentStation LauncherMain. Do you want to retry?

but the real important part is game is patched and updating! Thx again!

Game runs fine under both Windows 7 and Vista with the UAC on and functioning, been running eq2 and multiboxing on it since closed beta of Windows Vista.
