Hi, You didn't give a whole lot of info.. What graphic settings are you running at? Are you using shadows?

I run dual core (E8400) at 3.0GHZ, 4GB DC ram and Gigabyte 1600 FSB MB with same Card you have and my FPS hover around 70 in most places. I have EQ2 set at Balanced.

I use GPU shadows but have the swap to CPU shadows indoors unset. Also, I disable smooth fonts just because I don't need them.

If you are running at highest quality graphics then that sounds about right.

Don't believe EQ2 takes advantage of quad core/8GB ram but your system I would think should yield more FPS than what you are seeing unless you are on max quality settings.

I would reply to your e-mail address but i am at work..

Anyway hope this sheds some light on this for ya...

Greetings,

It would be hard to say whether or not those number are normal without some additional information. While the graphics card will certainly have an effect on performance, the CPU will usually have a larger effect. I run a low/mid-end quad core with a slightly better graphics card and your performance is close to mine with high graphics settings. The poster above has a higher-end CPU and gets a better FPS than I usually do.

The best thing I can recommend is to check the following thread and find a system that is comparable to your own:

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=444036

If your performance is significantly different than a similar system then it would be worth investigating. Let us know if you need any further assistance.
