<p>Every time I try to launch my game I get the following error message when it tries to install it, help?</p><p>There was a problem moving C:Program Files (x86)Sony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIlp_tempEverQuest2.exe_delta_8309_283.patched to C:Program Files (x86)Sony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIEverQuest2.exe</p>

<p>I'm having a patcher problem as well. My framerate fell through the floor so I closed and rebooted, not when it tries to launce it downloads for 10 seconds then cancels itself.</p>

<p>Greetings,</p><p>The error you're describing is usually caused by Windows 7 or Vista.  If you are using either one of those operating systems then please run through the following steps:</p><p>1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.5. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".6. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"</p><p>If the problem persists after those steps then please let us know so that we can assist you further.</p>

<p>No, that did not help, I am considering reinstalling the game if that will help. I have attemped restarting and rebooting modem so that didn't work either.</p>

I have attemped restarting and rebooting modem so that didn't work either.</p></blockquote><p>At this point you might want to try moving the Everquest 2 folder outside of the program files directory.  Anything inside the program files directory is given extra security under windows so moving it out of that folder can help.  Also, disabling UAC will have the same effect if you prefer that method.  We are not allowed to walk people through disabling the UAC so you will need to look up the steps online or contact Microsoft support if you plan to do so.</p>
