<p>We pulled Anashti Sul in Palace about 4 times tonight each time between 4 and 8 people experienced a client crash directly to desktop.</p>

<p>You may want to delete the following files and folders:</p><p>cache folder</p><p>eq2_recent.ini</p><p>eq2_default.ini</p><p>EverQuest2.exe</p><p>eq2.ini</p><p>As well as the character specific files, these will appear as such:</p><p>Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.ini</p><p>Stationname_characters.ini</p><p>To do this, please follow these directions:</p><p> 1. First look for your EverQuest II directory. You can find the directory in the default directory:</p><p>2. Click on MY COMPUTERC<img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />RIVEPROGRAM FILESSONYEVERQUEST II</p><p>3. Next look for any files explained above and delete them.</p><p>4. Afterwards, please start EverQuest II to have these files re-downloaded by the patcher.</p>

<p>we were losing 6-8 people per pull, every pull.  and not always the same people.  are you telling me something went wrong with THEIR computers simultaneously?  it seems a lot more likely that something on YOUR side that is effecting people with certain setups.</p>

<p><cite>NaeenSpeedbringer wrote:</cite></p><blockquote><p>we were losing 6-8 people per pull, every pull.  and not always the same people.  are you telling me something went wrong with THEIR computers simultaneously?  it seems a lot more likely that something on YOUR side that is effecting people with certain setups.</p></blockquote><p>While that's a possibility, in tech support we are here to assist with problems related to the user's computer.  We do not have the ability to effect game code.  That said, I don't think the previous tech's suggestion would correct the issue your guild members experienced since the crash doesn't seem UI related.</p><p>The main crash issues we're seeing currently are related to memory issues and the latest Nvidia drivers.  If you have members that are using a recent release of the Nvidia drivers then I would suggest having them roll back to a version in the 186 series.  If the issue is directly related to the increased memory usage then I can only suggest lowering graphics setting and disabling background applications as a workaround. </p><p>The following steps will stop some applications from loading into the background when Windows starts and should decrease overall memory usage:</p><p>1. Select the START button.2. Select RUN, then type in "msconfig" (for Vista, type msconfig in the search bar at the bottom of the Start Menu)3. Press OK4. Select the STARTUP tab.5. In the list, uncheck all boxes EXCEPT for SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY. If you use Windows XP, please note that SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY will not be listed - just uncheck the entire list.6. Hit apply and then OK. Restart the computer and try the game again.</p>
