we added a new account to the household tonight.

installed and reenabled an old account on a new computer.

the computer according to system requirements lab is above reccomended specs to play the game.

the game installed, the patcher starts, it scans...

then it stops with the update button grayed out with a download link below it.

clicking the download link initiates a single file : "eq2_keymap_United States.ini"

being downloaded and decompressed according to the patch log...

then it repeats.

- would appreciate some advice toward fixing this from anyone, thx.

If you're running vista might try right clicking the game icon and chosing "Run as Administrator"

Be sure that you are trying to patch the US Patcher. The choice should be located on the decline/accept screen if I remember correctly

That information will help a lot when trying to diagnose the issue. Also, I'd like to collect some basic information about the computer such as CPU, RAM, and graphics card.

One of the issues we're seeing right now is being caused by the latest version of the Nvidia drivers. If you are using an Nvidia card then I would advise using the 186 version of the drivers for now. The more recent versions have been causing problems for many people. Please respond with the requested information if that does not resolve the issue.
