I love this game, but every time I buy LON cards you overcharge my account. It makes me very upset that I have to post about this. Do you run the billing ?? I've seen countless messages about billing problems with every aspect of this game. This has to be a big factor in getting new folks to play. I'm noticing the population drop as of late and I'm very upset about it. After all this time I can't beleive you don't have this worked out. I feel as though you want this game to fail. I feel like your pushing people away. I've turned in a suppoert ticket #091019-000508.

I hope i was nice enough in the post, because if I said how I really feel, it wouldn't be pretty.

You might want to post your problem here: http://forums.station.sony.com/stra...m?category_id=7. That is the LoN Forums. This is the EQ2 Forums. Separate game, separate staff and all that. Hope it gets sorted out for you.

I checked your account and it looks like you had 2 unsuccessful attempts to bill before the successful purchase. We received a 'failed security check' message on the first 2 attempts. The bank may hold that money off to the side for 2-4 business days but we only charged you for the final, successful charge. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I didn't make several attempts, I just clicked and bought smoothly so I don't understand where I attempted 3 times and it failed twice. I don't know where the problem is but it's not me and you've lost another LON customer. I don't care if they offer free level to 90 I will never buy them again.

The money is being held by the bank, not us, and they should be releasing it shortly. Either way, let us know if you have any further questions.

The holds sound familiar. When I used to work at a bank, this would cause so many issues with people that couldnt understand why it said that there was no money in the account when they clearly had some.

Basically when you run a transaction through, the bank puts a hold on the funds. Some banks do a dollar, some does the amount of the transaction and some use a larger amount to hold to guarantee the funds. If it was failed 2 times before, it could be the bank that denied it for whatever reason, but those holds are still there. So it looks like you were charged 3 times, but usually after a few days the holds will fall off when the charge doesn't come through.

It is an odd system, but every bank has it set up a different way.

Last comment:

I buy lots of stuff online, make mistakes all the time wrong 3 digit code, wrong zip cause I have a PO Box, whatever. Why is SOE the only company in my experience to attempt the charges several times, All the the other companies don't do this. I've never seen 3 attempts at one purchase from any other company.

Thanks for your support the charges are gone.

Now fix the whack a cure in raids and I'll be one happy Half-Elf. It would be fun to watch the tanks and melee killing the mob instead of starring at my group window

Thankfully I have a stupid-high limit on my credit card since I use it too much.
