I even have my graphics tanked down, so I should not get this constantly happening since GU 52!!

Video Driver currently is 182.06 but had 182.08, 185.85, 186.18 and 191.07 aned ALL do the same. PhysX is Off AA is Off.

I'd like a fix, please.

PC is a custom build, Sound card Creative Audigy 2, with EAX on.
My system is vastly lower than yours in power and I can run the game ok provided I dont zone, after 4 or 5 zones the game goes OOM.

If I run max textures I go OOM in very short time.

Prior to GU53 I could run 2 instances at once on my ancient machine. Now one is tough to run!

My husband is having crazy crash issues too. Started with 52 but became increasingly worse since 53. Sometimes he can't even log back in and get to the character select screen without it crashing/having a critical error all over again.

We run on 99% identical machines. The only difference being he has 3 300 GB hard drives and I have 1 1 TB drive. I don't get crashes/errors or BSoD's 1/16 as much as he does. Please fix this! It is making it very hard for him to play the few hours he does have during the week.

Try copying your eq2_recent.ini to his pc (take a backup of his) to make sure you have the same in-game graphics settings? If you need to copy more files to do this, I'm sure someone will correct me.

I have roughly as good a system as the OP. I have this problem in any graphics setting, but in my preferred setting (which is the most important setting, after all) this happens about once an hour.
Greetings,

You'll probably want to keep an eye on the following thread for updates regarding this issue:

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=459319

Rothgar has been posting in that thread to keep people informed about the steps he is taking. We can also suggest some basic steps to lower your memory usage, but keep in mind that this issue is at least partially caused by code issues.

Thank you! I have that article flagged to email me with updates.

Sounds like a coding equivalent of "It's an electrical fault in your truck.. we just can't find it .. yet..." I have one of those too and dare not go near a repair shop because those can cost mountains of money and take ages to find.. Bleh. I have neither.

I'm sick of this garbage too. Crashed right at the end of the haunted mansion now I have to do the whole thing over again.
