Me and My GF have played many alts to around 40-50 and still can not decide what is the most fun for us.

We have grouped with many SK's and found them to be a fun class that may keep our interest. We are having a hard time logging in to play since we are loosing interest in this very old game, so we figured maybe this would be just the thing we need.

I know that its not a Uber Duo but here are a few things about our playstyle.

We dont want to raid much let alone tank in one. We dont mind tanking groups/pugs etc. We will be Duo'ing 90% of the time due it being Soloquest2 now. We dont play with Uber/Parse geeks, we play to have fun since it is still a game to us. We can not twink out our toons much with our total of aprox 100 plat to both our names.

That given we have made a pair of SK's in thier 20's and so far it seems fun and doable and here is what we found so far.

One of us pulls and taunts (aggro) with both Wards stacked on the puller. We then DPS away and if the origional puller gets low on heath the other Intecepts and starts taunting to swap aggro. By the time the second SK is low on health the mobs are almost always dead. So far this has worked out great and I know SK's get some more utility like FD to help save us from the Oh Shyte encounters. Even some weapons have positional hate modifiers that may help swap aggro to spread out the incomming DPS. I was told that if we both specced for DPS/Reaver this may work well but again any advice is welcome.

What I would like to know is has anyone played this Duo for many levels and if so how does it work? Do you have any tatics that work well or are there any more abbilities that SK's get that will help out like a Rez or heal etc ? We went down the reaver line for healing but any AA advice would be apreciated. We know that some raids have more than one SK for adds and even casting DPS if they are not the Uber Min/Max raiders so some end game is possible.

Maybe some of the same tactics that a main assist SK uses to help out the MT may also work with this Duo ?

Oh and the new AA slider has us wondering if the SK is AA dependant and if so what is the best way to maximize your AA. Lock (100%AA) at 22 (MC) and do all the quest we can then unlock to the next tier and repeat. Or just level to 70-80 and self mentor to 50 and run greay shard runs for AA and shards ?

Thanks for any input.

There's no reason this shouldn't work well. SK is a trong soloer so should be a strong duo.

One approach is to just nuke and play the duo as you would soloing, you're just more powerful through more dps.

Or you can be tank/dps. You should probably then both set up equip macros so either of you can be the primary tank or the dps at the push of one button. One of the most useful things here is your avoid buff - have the dps player cast this on the tanking player - it gives them a 50% chance or so for an extra avoid check. If you switch roles, reverse the buff.

SKs have some strong aggro tools. It's probably best that only the tank uses Grave Sacrement, which is your best AE aggro grabber.

Another thing is your FD - you can FD another player, so you can grab aggro from the other player by FDing them.

Personally I think two brawlers would be fun (monk and bruiser could be very nice), but two SKs or as suggested a pally and SK should be fun too (SKs can only heal themselves, pallies can obviously heal others). The advantage with a pally is they can be even better healers by being AA heal-spec and this will let you take on tougher named ^^^ targets than you could do as an SK duo. But it depends the levels of mobs you fight - two SKs with mobs blue or green to them should be fine, and two harm touches will take a good chunk out of any opponent.

Finally remember you can get an AA mirror so you can have two specs for your AAs. AAs tend to come most quickly once at L70+ (there's a ton in ROK before you get to TSO content).
