I noticed looking at the two "class issues" posts that the last posts for them were in 2008.

Wow....

Is there a class lead for the troubador?

Is there an active class issues thread? (maybe I missed it).

Is troubador dead as a class?, everyone plays dirge, even I'm looking to switch possibly.

Check the stickies. If it's not recent enough that someone posted in it, it's because either people gave up trying to get an ear to listen or the problems really aren't great enough to continue trying to get attention in order to get them fixed.

Well we haven't had a new spell since Kunark......and as sad as it is not much has changed for Troubs since 2008 so all of those issues are still current.

We still have power drains left over from before LU13. Do you really think most of us even bother trying to post issues?

You guys are a bit over dramatic. xD

We're a utility class that can consistently break 6-7k DPS, I myself have spiked WELL over 10k, on various fights, both heroic and epic. My gear isnt even all that great.

Not only can we pump out acceptable DPS, we up the DPS of every mage in the group exponentially - and in a raid, we even help the mages/other casters that arent in the group.

Hell, I was messing around with the training dummy with an Coercer buddy the other day, and he was parsing a steady 6-8k without my buffs running. When I buffed up, and gave him upbeat tempo, threw Jcap and perfection - he was able to pull a consistent 12-15k DPS. You can do this test yourself with just about any mage class, and get similar results.

What more do you honestly want for troubs?

1. We do fine DPS assuming you know how to gear yourself, and what order to cast in - in which situation.

2. We can potentially double a mage classes DPS in group.

3. We're effing beasts in PvP (my troub is on Venekor, not sure if any of you complaining play on PvP, just listing this for those who do)

Sure, we have a couple useless skills, but most classes do. At least we dont have Stream of arrows, or that [Removed for Content] attack hawk, tbh.

Troubs are fine, maybe you guys just need to make use of the all too famous 3 character acronym:

L2P.

Your post has nothing to do with the topic of this thread.....which is "is the Troub class dead since nothing is being changed?"

The answer is no.....but there still are issues to be resolved.

Troubs are fine.

All classes are fine then by that definition. If one person says so......it's so. You didn't address any of the posts you say you are responding to.....other than to imply that we are n00bs who need to learn to play our class.

Typical PvP speak. (See I can toss offhanded insults too)

Well the day you push for Hardcore PvP or full item/money looting you come back and talk to be about bluebie's and carebears. Until then......

Wouldn't be me being hurt by the sudden epic-slow token income. xD

Personally, I liked the old system much more, not that it was really that much more 'hardcore.' Chest token drops, and fame loss on death. Really have no clue if you know what I'm talking about, so I'll hush.

To answer the OP's answer. No the class isn't dead, nore will it ever be. Too many people love thier troubs and no mater what they do or don't do to fix our issues will not matter. Four months ago I stopped raiding with mine and once the new expansion comes out there will be even less of a need for raiding troubs, but the same will go for dirges also. ( many buffs are going raid wide, which ones have not been posted yet) I strickly solo and group with my troub now, but still love playing him.
