<p>I have a newer computer running the following specs and i find my characters running slow, game freezing, limited field of view, any suggestions?</p><ul><li>Intel Core2Extreme X9770 3.2Ghz</li><li>2048MB DDR3 1600Mhz</li><li>150GB Raptor 10,000RPM - O/S</li><li>500GB WD 7,200RPM - GAME</li><li>Nvidia Geforce 9800 GX2</li><li>Liquid Cooled Setup</li><li>ASROCK P45R2000-Wifi</li><li>1000Watt PSU</li></ul><p>ive done several reinstallation and have terrible performance problems</p><p>thankz in advance.</p>

<p>At the moment you need a <span style="font-size: large;"><strong>lot </strong></span>more than 2 gig of memory to run eq2.</p>

<p>Don't really need more than 2GB.  More is nice......but not required.</p><p>Some things to try:</p><p>1) List what performance mode you are trying to run the game in.</p><p>2) Defrag your Games drive after any major patch.</p><p>Right now the game is very processor intensive and doesn't really offload a lot to the graphics card.  They are slowly moving graphic engine components to using the GPU but it is going to be a slow process.  After all the game engine is probably 10 years old now.</p>

<p>As the previous poster mentioned, you shouldn't need a large increase in RAM but another GB or two certainly wouldn't hurt.  Anything beyond that level will not have an impact on performance, though.</p><p>Can you give us some idea what you mean when you say the game is running slow?  How many frames per second are you getting and at what performance settings?  I wont be able to tell you if your performance levels are unusual without knowing that information.</p>
