having trouble logging in

<p>ok so i just did my system had to change some stuff out and ended up going to a older system in the meantime because a piece of my system is broken. i went to reinstall eq2 it seemed to install correctly i got through the patch just fine like i did when i orignaly put the game on only this time i hit the play button it acts like it is going to log in and then nothing it just sends me back to desktop any help here?</p>

<p>yeah i got the samething,..I reformatted this past friday installed the game and ran the patch when i go to hit play looks like the game is going to launch screen goes black then i get booted back to desktop. Someone Help i need my eq2</p>

<p>OK me again.  If u just reformatted your computer or updated your video driver online you may not be able to get into the game. Try uninstalling your current video driver that you downloaded.  Install the original video driver and this should fix your problem.  The new drivers are not comp with the game yet. So do that and enjoy!</p>

So do that and enjoy!</p></blockquote><p>What video card are you using and what version of the drivers were giving you issues?  It's hard to recommend rolling back drivers without know that information.  If you're talking about Nvidia then yes, I would recommend using the 189xx series or earlier at the moment because of compatibility issues with the latest release.</p>
