It doesn't appear to match any of the fonts in the EverQuest II Fonts folder.

Powers &8^]

I agree with Powers. I did check Death's Whisper to see if maybe it was in that language, but for some reason in my folder it is identical to thulian.

I doubt, however, that it actually says anything intelligible, aside from possibly a programmer's name. If you look, the same pattern repeats at least 3 times along the length of the blade. Assuming that each character is a letter, the pattern and length is about right for a name.

I will put my cryptogram skills to work and maybe figure out what it says based on those assumptions, but it might take a while.

I will attempt to isolate each character and determine its letter based on the number of occurences of each character and their placement within the pattern. I make no promises that I will be able to figure it out. Also, since I have to fit this into an already busy schedule, I make no promises that it will be done quickly, because it won't.

Looks like "magic rune" font.

the purposely degraded way tehy applied it reminds me of how they did the word "Vampire" on Mayongs coffin in Thexian which took some time to figure out the letters since they have a "worn" texture to them..

I'll see what i can decifer as well.

Go to your eq2 folder, in the subfolder UI there's a folder named fonts. There you should find all the TTF files for the various languages used in EQ2. Import them to whichever word processor you use and voila. You have the different languages as working fonts.
