After the small update today, I am not able to actually connect to the server. After multiple attempts it tells me the servers may be busy. This has happened for an hour or so now. Normally I NEVER have a problem with this sort of thing. Anyone else experiencing this?

Greetings,

This sounds like a firewall issue. Open the exception list for your firewall and delete any entries for Everquest 2, EQ2, or Launchpad. Then restart your computer and try to start the game again by right clicking and selecting run as administrator. It should prompt you to allow or deny at that point. Select allow and that should resolve the issue.

When are you getting stopped when you try to log in?

Yes I am getting the same message "servers may be busy..try later", I am getting stopped after the login sever runs thru all 9 servers twice. My firewall is disabled, anti virus is off and I'm not connected to a router. I reinstalled the new station launcher. It took about 5 hours to update the game. But I still can't login to the game...getting the same message as before.

You can find a walkthrough on how to collect it in the following post:

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=422516

Also, what firewall are you using with that computer? Is it the standard windows firewall or something like zonealarm?

Most of the time this is caused by a firewall issue.

Swab45 wrote:

Yes, im only using windows firewall now, and i turned that off, and forwarded my ports for my router.

Please try performing a complete network reset. Turn off your computer and your modem and leave both of them off for at least 5 minutes. Then plug in the modem and wait for it to power up fully before starting the computer. Let us know if the issue persists after that.
