So I recently came back to the game. Currently I have a 40 Ranger / 35 woodworker that I apparently put a ton of work into because I have a ton of master/adept III abilities, and [Removed for Content] house, and some decent gear (I think).

The problem that I have is that when I quit, I was in the middle of The Feerott quest line, and I barely remember anything about the game.

Should I just reroll from the beginning and play for a bit to get re-immersed in the game, and then skip ahead with the Ranger? When I log into the game, I generally feel lost, and have no idea what I'm doing. I love the ranger class and it's for me, but I can't get over thinking I'm missing out on something.

I've been reading a ton here on the forums, on flames, eq2wikia, but I haven't been able to really address my problem, and I don't think it's a unique issue.

The "I'm a returning player, what's changed" thread seems a bit dated.

What I ask of the Ranger community is to just tell me where I should go to get reacquainted with the game and feel like I have a purpose for logging back into my favorite character.

Thanks a bunch,

Kaimel

Well it would really help if you told us how long you've been away. Not knowing how long you've been gone, my general advice is just play the game. You'll learn as you go along. Besides, T5 is hardly difficult content, you can pretty much breeze through it and if you screw up nobody will notice.

It can be hard to come back to a character after not playing it for a while, for sure. It may not hurt to roll a new character and take them through timorous deep or darklight woods (ending at level 20) to get a feel for the game again - This should only take a couple good play sessions.

As for picking back up your ranger. I would reccomend dropping the feerrot quests, as it is a PITA zone anyways. Go to steamfont (just off of Gfay) if you have not before and start the questlines there. They will start out as green cons, and end around level 45 or so. It is always easier to start a zone fresh rather than try to pick up the pieces from where you left off.

Definately make use of this link: http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Solo_Timelines to figure out where you should be questing at any given level. It may even help you figure out what you were doing in feerrot, if you are dead set on continuing there.
