A new driver has been released as of the 5th. Driver 191.07. I have only been able to test it out for a short while ( about 2 to 3 hours ) but it seems to have helped with the crashing for me so far. I am not about to say its a cure but it cannot hurt to give it a shot. Just be sure to remove all of the nvidia software and drivers, and run a registry cleaner afterwards BEFORE installing the new drivers.

I really hope this helps out at least a few people having problems untill the devs get a handle on what happened to the client. I know for me at least the game has been crashing almost every other time i zone which makes it hard to keep groups interested in keeping a necro lol.

Forgot to mention I am running windows 7 64 bit RC

The new drivers seem to work a lot better than the previous 190.xx series. If you are currently running one of the 190 versions then I would recommend updating at this point. That said, the memory crash you're referring to is supposed to see a hotfix tomorrow morning. If that's the issue you're experiencing then it might be worth waiting to see how the patch effects it.

These drivers did not affect the quest feather issue; although, I haven't crashed with these yet with DirectX Out of Memory or Lost Renderer errors but I've only played 1 session thus far.

The increased memory issue was a direct result from the last patch as well, but I believe that one is scheduled for a hotfix tomorrow.

I downloaded the new video drivers then I removed all of the nvidia software and drivers ran a registry cleaner afterwards BEFORE installing the new drivers. When I tried to log in the first time I receive the "EQ2 Client Application" error. I rebooted and was able to log in one character but when I try to log in a second character (on a different account) at the same time I get the "EQ2 Client Application" on the first character and it closes but I can log in the second character.

I was not having that problem before I downloaded and installed the new video drivers.

I use Windows XP, Intel Core2 Duo CPU E7200 @ 2.53GH and NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT video card. I have 4gig of memory but since I am using Windows XP it only recognizes 3gig.

Let us know if you are still experiencing it.

This new driver also seemed to help with the shadows issue. After updating the driver, i was able to go back to my old settings.
