<p>Went for a quick visit to our old chum mayong mistmoore to get a recently betrayed player a mythical update.</p><p>His script popped mistmoore protectors at around 0.1 second intervals. Can you look into this please?</p>

<p>Wow sounds pretty cool for an ae class.</p>

<p>It's not cool, because the sheer speed of new adds will overwhelm the ae classes. We've done this zone as intended since EoF, and killed Mayong since then as well, so everything is happening the way it's supposed to. Can a content developer at least acknowledge the issue and give us an ETA on a fix?</p><p>Edit to add that Mayong did not consume any tunarian wolfsbane, but then again we didn't get any wolf adds either, just a neverending personal army of protectors.</p>

I see sony are still as good at communicating and acknowledging issues as before. Mayong may be old content, but through your twisted logic he's still needed for some mythical weapons. Fix him kthxplease.

Yes, I know several raids have killed him, we apparently have a bugged person in raid making him drop a clown mobile of adds on us.

I think I know who you are <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> And yea, I joined them (or someone else if I don't know you) in MMiS and Mayong spawned a gazillion adds on us. It was crazy. Saved a screenshot if anyone cares for it. Did it on another toon the next evening and think we had about 4 adds total. Everything was done the same way on both. Stakes staked etc. Crazy.

<p>That would be awesome. I wish I could do that encounter with all those adds. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" /></p>

Seeing as the GM handling my petition claims he couldn't reproduce this but found another issue with him, and this happening to pretty much the same people 2 weeks running while he claims "Accounts can't really be bugged like that", I'd like a GM to tag along next time. Sorry, but "Zone bug" and the excuses we get just don't cut it, poor show sony. That is unless they ninja fixed it somehow.

<div>Scythienne: Thanks a lot for the screenshot! That helped me to finally identify what was happening here.</div><div></div><div>Everyone: I can't say exactly when this will get fixed but here's what seems to be happening:</div><div>1) The tank pulls Mayong up against the wall.</div><div>2) A semi-random number of seconds later, Mayong summons a couple vampiric protectors.</div><div>3) Since the vampiric protectors spawn directly in front of and behind Mayong, one of them is outside of the world.</div><div>4) Wait a half second or so. The vampire that's outside of the world breaks his encounter because it's bugged.</div><div>5) The anti-exploit script on this encounter makes it spawn a new one at the same location.</div><div>6) TPK. Infinite loop of vampire spawns. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/908627bbe5e9f6a080977db8c365caff.gif" border="0" /></div><div></div><div>Now from the above description you should glean the following:</div><div>It is a very bad idea to fight Mayong up against a wall right now.</div><div>There should be no problem if you fight him in the middle of the room.</div><div></div><div>So in summary: <strong><em><span style="color: #ff0000;">Please do not fight Mayong up against the wall until this is fixed! Take him down in the middle of the room instead.</span></em></strong></div><div></div><div>I'll post on this thread again if I learn anything new. Thank you.</div>

<p>You hear that? That's the sound of every warlock in the game squealing with glee... followed immediatly by the sound of them all simutaniously clicking "Revive".</p>

Oh well, was the position he'd been killed in since EoF for us, but nice to see it finally being sorted.

My guess would be that the coffin is doing the same thing as the wall and causing spawns.</p>

<p>My guild's done at least 2 raids here since Gu53. We like to tank by the coffin and have no such problem.</p>

<p>Maybe it was the coffin causing it..idk but I do know Mayong wasn't anywhere near the wall, and we had a ton of these guys spawn and wipe us</p>

<p>The coffin might also play a role in making the adds get caught in that infinite loop; anything that makes them break and reset by moving them out of the geometry, moving them out of their leash radius or messing with their hate list might cause this to happen. So class abilities like fear which sends them running off to a corner of the room, or feign death which can make them reset immediately, might have contributed to triggering the bug in some cases.</p><p>But anyway, the bug was forwarded to far more capable hands than my own, and I'm pleased to report that I've tested the fix internally and it should go out with the next hotfix! <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>We got this bug tonight. A bazillion vampires killed us. Afterwards we took care to fight Mayong in the middle of the room and were succesful. So many bugs in this game.</p>
