It seems to me that in raids and other very slow frame rate scenarios, I can press alt-2 and what fires is instead my hotkey for 2, unless the alt modifier was pressed significantly before the 2 was. In groups and solo I can do long sequences of alt modified, and cntl modified keystrokes and all the effects I want occur. In most cases this is still true in raids, but in portions of combat where the frame rate is getting slow, I find that I've hit keys I didn't intend to or that were out of sequence due to the modifier key not being interpreted.

I guess this has been particularly noticable on my new coercer alt where I'm trying to maintain a stream of several spells per second. Though I've seen it before even only my slow casting mystic main. It doesn't even seem possible to me that what I am perceiving would occur, but it happens often enough even when I'm aware and being extra careful.

It would seem like the only way it could happen would be if modifier keystrokes were being handed off to a different thread from the non modifier keystrokes such that load on the computer could interfer with the order of handling the keys. This would seem odd since I would have thought this was handled at a very low level independent of the application.

Oh... question...

Do others see this?

Is there really an explanation of how FPS lag could cause mishandling of the keyboard?

Is it worth /bugging?
