Okay, so yesterday i logged into thundering steppes, and i then DLed, so i try to log back in as my character, but the zoning stopped at Waiting for entities, i then waited for 5 minutes, and i was sent back to the character screen, i then tried to log back in and i got through to loading UI resources and then it stuck. I tried this multiple times, and sometimes i got through to game once or twice and then around a minute later it would lag out, and i would be able to run around but not cast any spells or do anything server side. But i wasn't logged out, it was like i was connected to the server because i could camp log out to the character screen but i couldnt do anything that envolved anything in Thunder Steppes. The only way to get out was to CoQ out. I then went around qeynos and it was fine, no trouble zoning into anything, so i thought i'd go to TS again to see if the zoning problem was still there. It was. I managed to CoQ out again. Then my friend said he had problems zoning into the Peat Bog, he went through the same trouble i had. So today he was in the peat bog i said id come and help him, and we both lagged out, and went through the same trouble in the peat bog. It seems that there might be trouble with certain zone servers, as antonica, zek, all of qeynos, tradeskill instances work but TS and Peat bog don't. Can anyone shed light on this?

Miclo

Greetings,The problem you're describing sounds like it could be a router issue. Disconnect issues with only certain zone(s) usually mean that the router is blocking one of the ports used by the game. I would advise bypassing your router and plugging your computer directly into the modem as a first step. If you try that and it corrects your issue then you'll need to configure your router if you wish to continue using it.The following site has great information about router configuration:http://www.portforward.com/english/...routerindex.htmSimply select the router you are using, then select the 'skip this advertisement' button in the upper right, and finally select Everquest 2 on the following page. You will then be presented with a walkthrough on how to forward the correct ports. Please respond if you need any further assistance.

I play with EriadTron in the same house, we both experience this issue, now with The Caves aswell.

Unfortunatley I find it hard to believe it is the port forwarding, as I have also tried both machines on DMZ+ Mode on our router, essentially a total Port Forward.

If both of us are playing, then a port-forward to a single machine would be impossible I think?

The problem went away (or so we thought) after the Oct 1st Hotfix. However it turns out that the problematic zones have simply shifted, in our current position, to Greater Faydark.

We can't connect directly to the modem in our case, as we own an integrated modem/router. We do own a second integrated router of a totally different make/model which we will try.
