Are they or are they not gonna nerf brigs?

<p>I hope the answer is "NO" but every time I post an LFG tell, I get someone telling me to reroll to a swash; which I'm not going to do, I'll simply quit playing.  I can't afford another 200 plat investment on another toon just because SOE has a burr up their backside to do something stupid.  Someone was sending me tells saying that the nerfs are on the test server; can anyone confirm this?</p>

<p>To my knowledge, the Brigand drop kicking hasn't hit Test yet.  Otherwise you'd see any army of people who are up in arms.  But after the SOE address at Fan Faire about the upcoming class mutilation, most of us seem to be pessimistic.  Given the past SOE track record against Brigand (which has been covered in depth in a thread at the top of the Scout General forum), combined with the stated plan of sharing some of our signature debuffs with Swashbuckler, has prompted a decent number of people that betrayal to Swashbuckler will be the best option.</p><p>In the end, I'm guessing that it will be like RoK when many bruisers betrayed over to monks because the class had superior abilities like Tsunami.  Or when some paladins betrayed over the shadow knights when TSO came out.  When things are all said and done, each class will always retain a small core following regardless of what benefits the betrayal classes may have.  But I do expected many min/maxers to betray once they feel the winds of power shifting.</p>

<p>According to what we have heard on the summoner channel....summoner/brig/brawler/insert class here changes will be  coming into effect at expansion time.</p><p>So, February. It's not on Test yet...and there's not an open Beta at this time that we know of either. Once it hits Test, people will be able to see whats going on.</p><p>For the record...I play a Conji, and my husband a Brigand. I am hoping there is a way that neither of our desired classes get screwed over too much. All we can do is to wait and see atm.</p><p>Don't give up hope just yet tho...they may change things yet again, we have to wait and see sadly.</p>

Honestly, if you have an entire group of them they could have the wizard tank the same content and do just fine. Raid equipment distorts everything.</p><p>When your talking group instanced equipped people, they want fighters to tank. Or are you complaining about shard 2 monks switching from DPS roll to tanking? <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>Lets talk serious raids.</p><ul><li>Brigs can't tank. Brig raid tanking was nerfed way back in t5-t6.</li><li>Brigs are brought to raids for single target debuffing and dps. Period</li><li>Swashies do better AE dps and get hate xfer. Except for dispatch/debilitate, most raids prefer swashies to brigs.</li><li>If swashies/conjys get the brig debuffs - it kinda kills brigs as a raiding class.</li></ul><p>SOE have a history of dumbing down their games (like SWG - everyone is a Jedi). If they want to mess up classes like ths, at least have the decency to give out free class conversions and no loss on masters.</p>
